Overview

In the exercise “Expert panel on European identity”, the students develop positions and arguments on the question “What could a joined European identity be like?”. In the exercise, the pupils deal with Europe’s cultural diversity and discuss cohesion within the EU in different roles.

Learning objectives

  • Pupils learn about different perspectives on the question of a European identity and are able to reproduce and present them.
  • The students develop their assigned positions and develop an argumentation suitable for the role.
  • Based on their roles, the students discuss the question: “What could a joined European identity be like?”.
