The history of EU Cohesion policy

Overview

The excercise “The history of EU Cohesion policy” is about a critical examination of EU Cohesion policy. With the help of a factsheet on the history of EU Cohesion policy, the aim is to discuss the extent to which EU Cohesion policy is a good example of Euro-pean integration. The students are first given sufficient time to familiarize themselves with the policy field and can (optionally) research it on the Internet. The arguments are then exchanged in plenary.

• Pupils learn how to critically examine the political field of EU Cohesion policy.
• Pupils learn how to critically discuss a topic area.
