Overview

The exercise “European objectives in the regions” asks students to work on a topic covered by the European Commission’s political priorities. They will analyze and compare how various priorities are implemented in the EU’s regions.

First, the students become experts on their subject area and then pass on their knowledge to the other groups.

Finally, the students compare their political priorities with each other and work out similarities, differences, difficulties and opportunities.

Learning objectives

  • The students learn how the objectives of the European Commission are implemented across the EU regions.
  • The students are able to connect the objectives of the European Commission with regional policy/local projects.
  • The students analyze and compare similarities, differences, difficulties and opportunities related to the implementation of the European Commission’s objectives on the regional level.
